Why I want to do Network Marketing

The increasing number of home-based business opportunities from network marketing is an indication of so many positive things. For one, people who chose to be in this business are primarily taking advantage of the great advantage of earning while, at the same time, having more quality time to spend with their family --- something that they cannot easily afford to do if they are in the traditional job or business. Another reason why network marketers are on the rise is that, finally, people are starting to recognize this as an acceptable and legitimate mode of conducting a business.

There are network marketers that start out real big, promoting companies that start out with great fireworks and fizzle even before they show substantial business profits. We need to be wary of companies that are more concerned about staging a dramatic entrance than planning for long-term possibilities. It is to our best interest to ensure that we promote companies that can show more than fireworks and have lots more to offer after the smokes have died down. Despite our best intentions, we should never fall into the trap of over-promising and under-delivering. This could cost us our career and open doors to a lot of disappointment both to ourselves and our team-members.

The network marketing concept has been around for many, many years. And the fact that it has evolved and has gone through so many positive changes is the reason why it has found its way to be accepted by many as a good way of delivering goods and services. Whichever way you look at it, the idea of doing away with the middle person in the trading process is a cost-efficient way of offering products in the market. This is precisely what network marketing does. However, in the early years, this purpose has not been given much emphasis as more focus and energy were being given to building the network instead.

While it is true that the beauty of network marketing includes the power of leveraging, that is, earning from the collective efforts of other team members, there has to be a right balance to enjoy this unique business opportunity. These days, those who do network marketing from home enjoy the realization that success in this business is not entirely measured by the size of network but rather on the efficiency of the network as it operates. There is a bigger picture and advocacy that drives modern network marketers to see others as people who also have needs to be fulfilled. And by having that desire to satisfy other people’s needs, more than the mere intention of selling something, a more meaningful interaction can take place.

Today, success in network marketing is no longer defined and limited by monetary values and number of people recruited in one’s network. It is more about the symbiotic benefits that each and every person receives and enjoys in the process of growing the network. Come to think of it, even those who didn’t choose to join our network have somehow contributed to our own growth as marketers and individuals as we learned about their own needs when we were given the opportunity to share our business with them. And what about those who joined our group? Well, all of us now enjoy a redefined network; that is, a group of people who chose to consciously and voluntarily belong to one team in order to mutually benefit from shared and unselfish efforts of one another; there is a better sense of belongingness and satisfaction from meeting each other’s needs. I couldn’t think of better reasons why I started to have better appreciation of the network marketing business than these.
